The international events take place in secret locations across the world and give guests the chance to hear from six international speakers and performers. The Lost Lectures NY: Number Two will take place on 5 June in a large, abandoned secret venue in Brooklyn that is not usually accessible to the public.

Moleskine will send an illustrator down to document the evening through illustrations in a large notebook. The artist will record the lectures and performances through a variety of story-telling and visual techniques, which will be shared across social media and other selected platforms.

The brand hopes that by performing live in the venue, the illustrator’s sketching performance will become part of the event, which is being run in partnership with Brooklyn-based arts blog, Hyperallergic.

Erik Fabian, director of brand and PR at Moleskine America, said: "We are thrilled to work with Lost Lectures and Hyperallergic on Lost Number Two in Brooklyn by creating a custom edition notebook and documenting the night with our Covered by Moleskine format. This invites an artist to document and translate an event into visuals using Moleskine tools and then we share those handmade creations digitally.

"Partnerships like this are a great way to inspire our fans and to explore creative ideas across the analog-digital spectrum. I would hope the way the artist chooses what to cover expands to the conversation created at Lost Number Two in a meaningful way."

Moleskine has also announced plans to cover the Milan Expo in June in a similar fashion. The Lost Lectures has previously collaborated with Not On The High Street and Selfridges.
