GLD Productions relocates following business growth

Furniture supplier GLD Productions has moved its sales and operations team to purpose-built offices in Wincanton, as a result of a 20% rise in turnover for 2013.

The Somerset-based business attributed the increase in part to working on a growing number of high-profile events during the past 12 months.

This included providing the backstage environment for Gary Barlow and his band and guests at his New Year’s Eve show at Central Hall, Westminster. GLG also supplied furniture for the production behind the annual London NYE 2013 Fireworks last month.

Other event highlights for GLD in 2013 included a ten-week tour with Robbie Williams across Europe; Bruce Springsteen at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park; supplying premium hospitality furniture for the Monaco Grand Prix; and designing a bespoke portable gym in an 18-tonne truck.

GLD also celebrated a number of contract wins at the end of 2013, including a three-year deal with IMG Golf. The company has been supplying furniture to major golfing tournaments over the past six years across the UK, and more recently in Spain and Bulgaria.
