The move comes just months after the magazine rocked the sector with a debut audited circulation of 451,486, putting it in an unprecedented second place behind market leader Cosmopolitan.
The news of the 30p price hike comes as competition hots up among publishers trying to boost sales ahead of the Audit Bureau of Circulation's second-half figures, which are reported early next year.
The rivalry has seen a bitter price war break out in the women's sector, which has seen pounds shaved off some titles.
The war started in September when Glamour competitor Company cut its price from £2.60 to £1.50, to match that of its handbag-sized competitor.
The activity reached a climax this month, when BBC Worldwide's Eve, which recorded an ABC of just 131,369 for the January-July period, dropped its price to £1 from £2.80 in certain branches of WH Smith for one issue only.
H Bauer's Real, which did not record an ABC figure last time, has halved the price of its November issue from £1.50 to 75p and has been redesigned. Meanwhile, the November issue of Time Inc's In Style, which was also absent from the last ABC report, is being given away with The Independent newspaper.
These moves are being hailed as last-ditch efforts to drive up circulation figures, which are currently being audited by the Audit Bureau of Circulation for the second half of the year.
If Conde Nast goes ahead with the price rise, it will be a test to see whether Glamour's reader loyalty continues once it is no longer the least expensive title in the market.
