Giant tea party to be held in Chelsea for Jubilee celebrations

London's Chelsea will host a free tea party for more then 300 people in honour of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee on 3 June.

The event is being organised by the Chelsea retail area known as Cadogan, which includes Kings Road, Duke of York Square, Knightsbridge, Sloane Street and Sloane Square.

The high tea will be served to guests in Duke of York Square, with British biscuits, cakes, sandwiches and champagne on the menu. There will be more than 300 seats and guests can book in advance for a place at the Royal Table serviced by royal footmen.

A lookalike ‘Queen’ and a military band will greet visitors at the festivities from 10am until 5pm.

A huge LCD screen will be set up for visitors to watch the royal procession along with green screen for guests to have their photo taken and presented in their own royal photo album. There will also be a dress up photo booth.
