A launch event for creative ambassadors and VIP guests will take place at 15 Bateman Street tonight (25 June), and will feature a DJ set from English fashion model Daisy Lowe. Celebrities including model Zara Martin, TV presenter Poppy Jamie and fashion designers James Long and Todd Lynn are expected to be in attendance.
Ghd has collaborated with fashion historian Amber Butchart for the exhibition, which delves into beauty archives and highlights poignant moments – from the make-up artist that created the first ever blonde bombshell, to unusual techniques women relied on to manipulate and set their hair.
Hair stylists Sam McKnight, Kenna, Adam Reed and Zoe Irwin have also contributed to the exhibition as the brand’s creative ambassadors, and have each chosen a product or moment in time that most inspired or impacted them in their careers.
Following the launch event, the exhibition will open up to the general public at Ghd’s London studio on 16 July between 12pm and 8pm, where they will also be able to book an exclusive Ghd Aura experience.
Guests will have the chance to book in for a bespoke blow-dry appointment with one of the brand’s creative team, who can usually be found styling the hair of catwalk models backstage at London Fashion Week.
