Gett promises to deliver two iced coffees to the homes and offices of frustrated Londoner-based users within 10 minutes. The drinks will be priced at £1, and will be available for one day only between 9am and 3pm.
Gett Iced Coffee will only be available to app users based in and around Shoreditch and the City.
The stunt follows the brand’s Gett Chocolate stunt, which offered during the last tube strike (6 August). Once again, the company’s ‘knowledge boys’ - aspiring taxi drivers currently learning the roads of the capital - will deliver the treats on motorbikes.
Successful recipients of Gett Iced Coffee will be encouraged to share images of their delivery on Twitter and Instagram by using the hashtag #GettIced.
Remo Gerber, chief executive of Gett UK, said: "We understand that the tube strikes can be both tiring and frustrating for many Londoners travelling around the city. We wanted to offer our users something to help, and we thought there’s nothing better than a coffee fix to boost your day.
"We are delighted to be able to use our sophisticated technology getting Londoners iced coffee with a simple tap of the Gett app."
The brand has also partnered for users in Shoreditch, Clerkenwell, the City, Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Belgravia and Kensington.
