LONDON (Brand Republic) - Deckchair.com, the flight-booking website founded by Bob Geldof KBE, has made a third of its staff redundant and is expected to announce a merger with an unnamed rival within weeks.
Thirteen employees have lost their jobs as the company tries to cut costs. There are now 20 staff left -- half the number working there at the company鈥檚 peak.
Geldof and former Eidos executive James Page launched the site in April 1999 to address Geldof鈥檚 鈥渋ncreasing frustration鈥 with existing online booking services.
