GaydarNation enlists Miva and Unanimis to handle ads

LONDON - Social network portal GaydarNation.com has linked up with pay-per-click agency Miva and digital sales house Unanimis to handle advertising across the site.

GaydarNation, the latest venture by gay media owner Qsoft Consulting, brings together Qsoft properties including Gaydar, Gaydar Girls, Gaydar Radio and Rainbow Network. The new deals mean the site will now feature bespoke pay-per-click advertising provided by Miva, and Unanimis will manage its display advertising sales.

Unanimis will sell display advertising on an exclusive basis across the GaydarNation site.

Unanimis also plan to develop classified advertising at the end of the year via the rollout of GaydarDirect, a niche listings service for UK goods and service providers.

David Muniz, commercial director of Qsoft, said GaydarNation offered advertisers "the chance to access and speak directly to the gay and lesbian community within their own social space -- and build a relationship with them".

GaydarNation is currently in a beta phase prior to its consumer launch next month. The site combines content from gaydar.co.uk and gaydargirls.com, gay news and lifestyle site rainbownetwork.com and GaydarRadio.

The deal with Miva was inked after a competitive pitch against Yahoo! Search Marketing.
