The website, gambleaware.co.uk, will go live to coincide with the introduction of the Gambling Act on 1 September, which will enable most gaming brands to run TV ads in the UK for the first time. The site will be supported by an integrated campaign and ads by gambling firms.
Under the Gambling Commission's code of practice for advertising, all licensed gambling operators will be required to provide a link to a website on responsible gaming and warn consumers about problem gambling in their marketing (Marketing, 4 July).
