The show attracted more than 150 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors between 17-19 April, selling out more than two weeks before the doors opened.
The next outing will take place at the NEC from 8-11 April, 2010.
"We have been overwhelmed at the response to the Gadget Show Live from both the electronics industry and from visitors to the NEC and are extremely pleased that the show proved to be the hottest ticket of 2009, particularly given the tough economic climate," said event director Matt Hodgins.
"We are now looking forward to developing the event for 2010, increasing the show to four halls and adding an extra day to accommodate 50,000 visitors next April."
The event brings to life some of the most popular elements of the Gadget Show TV programme, giving consumers the chance to see, try and buy the latest technology from leading names in mobile communications, computing, gaming, personal transportation and home entertainment.
