The magazine launches this month with a 100-page issue and is targeted at those whose mobile phone game repertoire extends a little beyond 'Snake' and 'Tetris'.
The first issue will feature a secret code to access four mobile phone game demos: 'KeepAhead', 'Anti Virus', 'Hell's Pit', and 'Demon's Treasure'.
It also includes previews and reviews of new games, reviews of new phones and opinion pieces on the direction mobile phone gaming is going in. The title will be sold on newsstands across the UK.
The magazine is being produced by a team including editor-in-chief Matt Bielby and editor Keith Stuart.
"Mobile Gamer provides both an understandable explanation of an exciting new technology and a fun read about an upcoming entertainment medium. It's a magazine that really bubbles with enthusiasm about what's now becoming an incredibly exciting area of gaming," Bielby said.
