Future industry trends to dominate talks at UK Venue Show

Seminar sessions at this week's UK Venue Show (1-2 Feb) in Olympia will be dominated by discussions on future trends in the event industry.

One of the sessions called 'The trends and spends for 2012 onwards' will see Jeremy King, Event and Media Week editor, chair a panel of industry luminaries including Rick Stainton, managing director of Smyle; Gareth Crowder, global procurement director Zibrant; Anna Golden, commercial director for EC&O Venues; and Hugh Robertson, managing director for RPM.

Taking place on Wednesday 1 February at 11.45am the session will look at the trends that have affected the industry over the past 12 months and the future of the industry post-2012.

Other sessions will see journalist Betty Low from Public Sector Travel chair a discussion on the emergence of online procurement systems for the event sector. 

Her panel will include David Taylor, sales director at Grass Roots HBI; Ann-Marie Bush, sales director for Active Network l Starcite; and Ian Jones, director of group sales, De Vere Hotels & Venues. They will focus on stateside technologies fast reaching European shores.
 
The 'Food trends' session will be chaired by Janie Stanford, contract catering editor at Caterer & Hotelkeeper. Commencing at 10.45am on Thursday 2 February a panel of caterers including representatives from The London Kitchen and Moving Venue.
