Future currently publishes magazines on cycling, as well as gaming, computing and technology, but has only one motoring title, Redline, a monthly title about modifying cars.
Robert Price, managing director of Future, said: "It's an area we've been looking to expand into for some time and the A&S titles will give us immediate critical mass in the motoring segment. Additionally, the events side of the business will open up many new commercial opportunities for us."
The deal will see it take control of 11 motoring titles, seven of which are monthly consumer magazines. Future is now starting a consultation process with A&S employees over the transfer to the Bath-based publisher, and says it has no plans for major changes in the editorial content of the magazine.
A&S becomes part of Future's Entertainment Group, overseen by publishing director Andy Semple and group publisher Peter Stothard.
Future has been on an acquisition spree in recent weeks. In December, it acquired What Laptop magazine from Crimson Publishing last year, as well as Beach Publishing, which publishes Junior, Junior Pregnancy & Baby and Wedding Day.
