SFX is one of the only glossy monthly titles covering sci-fi and fantasy in the market and it is known for its exclusive features and big-name interviews. Golder has worked on SFX since its launch in 1995 and edited the title for nine years.
Bradley moves from Future's Technology Group to edit SFX, part of Future's Entertainment Group, where he was worked on Microsoft Windows XP: The Official Magazine.
He has been tasked with winning more exclusive stories, behind-the-scenes features and introducing innovative covermounted gifts.
The latest issue, the 10th anniversary special, includes the low-down on the hotly anticipated new Batman movie 'Batman Begins', which stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. It also includes an interview with 'Doctor Who''s Christopher Eccleston and a preview of the new Doctor David Tennant.
SFX publisher Mike Lamond said "We needed someone who knows his Mars from his Bilbo and Dave fitted the bill perfectly. He's proven his editorial credentials as a senior editor within Future's Technology Group. I'm really excited by his ideas for developing both the magazine and the very talented team we already have."
