Fuller's sponsors LBC comedy

Fuller鈥檚 brewery is sponsoring a search for the next generation of stand-up British comics in partnership with LBC 97.3FM and The Independent.

The search will consist of a series of four comedy nights over the next month at a venue in London, which will be broadcast on Saturdays at 9pm.

The sponsorship will promote Fuller鈥檚 white beer, Discovery. The brewer is promoting LBC 97.3FM Comedy Cabaret at 175 pubs in and around the M25 area using A4 bar cards and A3 posters.

Pre-recorded trails will run on LBC for a week before each of the comedy evenings, and The Independent will run a series of advertisements each Monday for the next month.

Details will also be sent to the 10,000 members of the LBC listener club database and a dedicated page on LBC鈥檚 website includes tickets information.

鈥淪ome of our established on-air talent like Iain Lee and Jenny 脡clair came from the stand up circuit, so it's great to be able to showcase the next generation of stand-up comics, and maybe broadcasters even, in the run up to the annual Edinburgh Fringe," said David Lloyd, LBC鈥檚 managing director.

David Spencer, brands marketing manager at Fuller鈥檚, said: 鈥淕reat beer and great stand-up go hand in hand.鈥
