FT.com looks at providing sports alerts

FT.com is looking to develop revenue-generating premium wireless sports news services and products as part of an agreement with sports content site Sportinglife.com.

The financial news brand is to look at the potential of paid premium sports news alerts after securing the partnership with Sportinglife.com to add free sports content to its City-focused web site.

As part of the agreement with Sportinglife.com's parent firm, ukbetting, FT.com plans to carry links and content from the sport's firm's Teamtalk site (www.teamtalk.com) and its Sportal.com site, along with gambling sites bettingzone.co.uk and ukbetting.com.
