FT moves Hart to EMEA marketing director position

LONDON - The Financial Times has appointed Gill Hart to the position of marketing director for the EMEA region.

Hart was previously marketing and operations director for the FT in continental Europe. However, this role was scrapped last week as part of a shake-up of its marketing operations.

The FT's global marketing director role, held by Gordon Willoughby, was also scrapped, following the appointment of Ben Hughes as worldwide advertising director.

Hart's new role does not carry a seat on the FT board, meaning that the FT will now have no specialist marketing representation at board level. Hart will report to Zach Leonard, managing director for the EMEA region.

Leonard said: "Gill is an experienced operator, who knows our markets inside out. She brings a great mix of creativity, international experience and operational expertise, and her depth of knowledge will stand us in very good stead."
