Friends Reunited moves to fix disappearing emails

Friends Reunited has employed new email technology after it revealed that more than a quarter of the 30 million emails it sends every month were going missing, while one in 20 were ending up as spam.

The social media network, which has 20.6 million members, started using email technology company Return Path’s tools in May, in order to monitor and manage its email service.

Since it began monitoring deliverability, Friends Renuited said 92.5% of its emails were successfully delivered in June, up from just 67.1% in May.
