Freemans hooks up with Woolies

Catalogue specialist Freemans is to coordinate a new home-shopping service for Woolworths for the next five years. The deal, which is Sears-owned Freemans’ largest partnership ever with a retailer, is part of an expansion planned by Philip Green, the entrepreneur who gained control of Sears last month.

of an expansion planned by Philip Green, the entrepreneur who gained

control of Sears last month.



From this summer, Freemans will provide telesales, marketing and

distribution services to support Woolworths’ direct mail business.

Woolworths will also lease a warehouse in Leicester from Sears to store

and distribute products.
