Fox TV series 24, Bones and My Name is Earl are now available to buy from the iTunes store, with Fox set to add programmes including American Dad, Prison Break, Stacked, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The Riches. Fox programming has been available on the US iTunes store since 2006.

The iTunes service already houses classic ITV programmes, as well as programming from the BBC, Disney, MTV, Nickelodeon and Paramount Comedy for £1.89 an episode.

Television shows purchased and downloaded from the iTunes store can be viewed on a Mac or PC, iPod, iPhone or on a widescreen TV with Apple TV.

Last month, Apple introduced movies to iTunes from film studios including 20th Century Fox, The Walt Disney Studios, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Sony Pictures Television International and Lionsgate UK to its UK store.

The iTunes Store in the UK features more than 700 films available for rent or purchase, with titles available for purchase on the same day as their DVD release. iTunes movies are available at £6.99 for library title purchases and £10.99 for new releases. iTunes Movie Rentals are £2.49 for library title rentals and £3.49 for new releases.
