Crosstown Doughnuts
This specialist doughnut business has developed a range of quirky sweet treats, including a doughnut/meringue hybrid known as the Rhubarb and Raspberry Toasted Meringue Doughnut.
The centre of the doughnut comprises a hollowed sourdough ball which is filled with a Yorkshire rhubarb and raspberry compote, and it is topped with a light and fluffy meringue which is toasted by hand.
Where: 4 Broadwick St, Piccadilly Circus Underground station, Leather Lane Market (Thursdays and Fridays) and Broadway Market Schoolyard (Saturdays).

Feastie Boys
Bristol chefs John Barrett and John Dass have devised the ‘moonut’ – their own take on Dominique Ansel’s famous croissant and doughnut hybrid, the 'cronut'. The doughnut is filled with Guiness stewed beef shin and coated in powdered shiitaki mushrooms and a little paprika.

Duck & Waffle
The menu at central London restaurant Duck & Waffle features a range of interesting sweet and savoury creations, including the Spicy Ox Cheek doughnut, which can be found on the weekend brunch menu. The doughnut is filled with the spicy ox cheek, coated in smoke paprika sugar and served with a side of apricot jam.

Dum Dum Doughnuts
Founded by artisan doughnut chef Paul Hurley, Dum Dum Doughnuts’ team of ‘donuttiers’ produce gourmet doughnuts on a daily basis. They are distributed to its Box Park and Bethnel Green outlets, as well as Harrods' Food Hall.
The Almond Crème and Pistachio croissant-style doughnut is particularly unique – it is filled with a decadent almond infused cream and then topped with an almond fondant and crushed green pistachios.
