Crosstown Doughnuts

This specialist doughnut business has developed a range of quirky sweet treats, including a doughnut/meringue hybrid known as the Rhubarb and Raspberry Toasted Meringue Doughnut.

The centre of the doughnut comprises a hollowed sourdough ball which is filled with a Yorkshire rhubarb and raspberry compote, and it is topped with a light and fluffy meringue which is toasted by hand.

Where: 4 Broadwick St, Piccadilly Circus Underground station, Leather Lane Market (Thursdays and Fridays) and Broadway Market Schoolyard (Saturdays).

Feastie Boys

Bristol chefs John Barrett and John Dass have devised the ‘moonut’ – their own take on Dominique Ansel’s famous croissant and doughnut hybrid, the 'cronut'. The doughnut is filled with Guiness stewed beef shin and coated in powdered shiitaki mushrooms and a little paprika.
