Former Omnicom digital chief moves to Vibrant

LONDON - Video advertising network Vibrant Media has hired former Omnicom digital boss Sean Finnegan as its chief media officer.

Finnegan, previously chief executive of OMG Digital, part of Omnicom Media Group, will take on marketing, business development and product innovation duties at Vibrant, as the company continues to expand its global operations.

His appointment comes a week after Vibrant poached former AOL regional vice president, John Sedlak, to head its US sales operation.

Finnegan began his career at BBDO New York, before working at interactive agencies including Darwin Digital (Zenith), APL Digital and JWT Digital.

In 2002, he became Midwest director of OMD Digital and was then promoted to lead OMD Digital nationally, before forming OMG Digital.

During his tenure at Omnicom, Finnegan was awarded eight industry awards, including an Advertising Age Media Maven and a Media Week All Star.
