The ad breaks in cinemas on November 2 and once again features the fictitious Orange film executives, Mr Dresden and his assistant Elliot.
This time the guest actor is Culkin, who shot to fame in 1990 as the 10-year-old star of family movie 'Home Alone', in which he fought off two robbers. Following this he slipped into an extended career break.
In 2004 he was briefly jailed for possessing marijuana and was later given a suspended prison sentence. He has a lead role in forthcoming film 'Sex and Breakfast', scheduled for US release in January 2008.
The Orange spot opens with Culkin in his cell contemplating "reconnecting with humanity" before being interrupted by Dresden who tells him he has been doing "the whole loner thing forever" and that he should have Orange Broadband in his cell.
The film gets reshot in the style of 'Home Alone' with prison guards getting hit in the head by flying buckets and slipping on oil, much to the frustration of Culkin.
The 65-second ad is the latest in the long-running gold spot series, which featured Mena Suvari as Joan of Arc in May this year. Previous ads have featured Carrie Fisher, Roy Schneider, Daryl Hannah, Patrick Swayze and Ewan McGregor.
Justin Billingsley, director of brand marketing at Orange UK, said: "The Orange gold spot series holds a special place in British cinema-goers hearts. As always we're reminding audiences to switch off their mobiles in a fun and creative way."
Last October, Orange renewed its contract with Carlton Screen Advertising for three more years of the gold spot, which it has held the rights to since 2000.
