The rally experience will be based around one-off events held in four UK cities and take place in mobile arenas.
The tour will include races between stunt drivers and WRC drivers, a chance to view the cars and competitions to win assisted drives around the course.
Ford said last year's one-off Formula One parade in London's Regent Street and the subsequent interest it raised was the inspiration behind the experience.
The first event takes place in Southampton on 30 July, before moving on to Cardiff, Newcastle and Glasgow.
Ford is planning a raft of local radio and press advertising to support the events. It is also preparing partnership deals with local radio stations to provide live coverage.
In November 2004, Ford extended its deal with the UK-based M-Sport company, which had run its rally programme since 1996.
Ford chairman of Europe Lewis Booth said the car marque is focused on developing a motorsport strategy that will build on its rallying heritage .
In addition to WRC, Ford is also involved in the Junior World Rally, touring car racing and Formula Ford single-seater racing.
