Shed is currently producing a new series for ITV looking at the lives of men and women in the army. The show has a working title of 'Bombshell' and will feature a cast of around 12 actors. It is due to air in January 2005.
The script is being written by creators of 'Footballers Wives', Ann McManus and Maureen Chadwick, who are writing the first episode. The will be one 90-minute opener show, followed by six one-hour episodes.
Shed Productions also makes the long-running drama 'Bad Girls', which is set in an all-female prison.

A wave of mergers are expected in the indie market, which has already seen firms come together. The BBC also recently pledged to increase its indie quota.
