Foot Shop brings in Occam for database assistance

LONDON - Specialist footwear retailer Foot Shop has appointed data services company Occam to streamline its customer database.

Foot Shop currently uses the Elucid CRM system across all of its businesses, including retailers , and , and has consequently built a database of over one million customer records.

Occam has combined its data software with Foot Shop's Elucid system and incorporated a user-friendly data access tool, giving Foot Shop rapid access to its customer data for insight, analysis and campaign use.

James Bagan, managing director of Occam, said: "Foot Shop has accumulated a mass of customer data from across multiple channels over the years, but we rapidly identified the untapped potential within this data.

"Linking all the customer information and transactional data to a back end data management system means that, not only can we look at each customer's behaviours through a single customer lens, but also ensure that the resulting marketing activity is better targeted and relevant to an individual customer."
