Sexy Fish
Sexy Fish restaurant, part of the Caprice Group, has concocted some soft serves to celebrate the Olympics. They’ll be available for lunch and dinner from 5 August, and each flavour will be making an appearance on different days. There’s an English one (strawberry, topped with a mini scone, strawberry jam and a strawberry); a rather more exotic Japanese one (with matcha and white chocolate, topped with wasabi peas covered in white chocolate and green tea powder); a crowd-pleasing American one (popcorn and butterscotch, topped with popcorn and cola bottles); and finally a sexy Brazilian one (avocado and dark chocolate, topped with a dark chocolate truffle).
The bar team has also created "The Sexy Olympian", made of Yaguara cachaça, lime juice, elderflower cordial, Riesling and a splash of soda, garnished with your very own gold medal.
Rio Special Market
Epicurean Events is hosting Rio Special Market, taking place at St Katharine Docks on 5 August, to celebrate the start of the Olympics. For one day only, St Katharine Docks will be transformed into a Brazilian fiesta, complete with authentic live music, entertainment, and Brazilian-inspired dishes from some of the biggest names in the street food industry. Guests will be able to sample a variety of exotic Brazilian dishes, including everything from flavoursome Halloumi wraps from Sampa, to mouth-watering beef hot dogs from Tico's, all whilst soaking up the vibrant colours, sounds, and aromas of Brazil.
Rio Boteco
The Institute of Light has partnered with renowned Brazilian event organisers MargoCamilo, to launch, ‘Rio Boteco’ – a contemporary pop-up take on the Brazilian "corner shop pub". Utilising "Boteco" as a vehicle to showcase both Brazilian culture and eclectic gastronomic heritage, Rio Boteco brings a comprehensively upscaled menu of traditional tapas and street food, complimented by a fusion of traditional Brazilian comfort dishes. It runs on dates throughout August.
