Fold7 brings in Molton Brown veteran as chairman

LONDON - Full-service agency Fold7 is aiming to grow substantially with the appointment of former Molton Brown chief executive Charles James Denton as chairman.

The agency is aiming for growth in its strategic communications, design and TV activities to take it to a turnover of £20m by 2015.

Ryan Newey, co-founder of Fold7, said he valued Denton's success in global brand building.

Denton worked for the luxury cosmetics company Molton Brown for 15 years in various roles including sales and marketing director, chief executive and deputy chairman.

Since Molton Brown was sold to Kao Corporation of Japan in 2005 he has devoted much of his time to consulting on global brands and working for charities, including becoming chairman of Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital Charity.

Newey said: "Our work with brands is no longer just print, broadcast or web. It's much more strategic, requiring us to consider everything from the advertising campaign, the retail environment and product design. In short everything consumers see, touch and feel.

"Charles has enjoyed great success in global brand building which we and our clients value highly."

Denton said: "I believe there is considerable scope to grow this business model both locally and abroad."

Fold7 was founded in 1995 by Newey and Simon Packer and works for clients including Orange, Nike, Bacardi Global Brands and The Body Shop.
