The awards have run since 1944 and are produced by Dick Clark Productions and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).
- 196 features, 139 television series and 49 made-for-TV films/mini-series are eligible.
- This year's nominees include The Constant Gardener, Pride and Prejudice and King Kong.
- Last year's winners included Nip/Tuck and Desperate Housewives (pictured).
- The HFPA will treat the presenters to gift boxes worth more than $38,000. Items include a Dell MP3 player, Gucci fragrances and a VIP travel package.
