The surprise performance, dubbed 'Towel Surfing', began with a chubby man in red Speedos turning his stereo on, with the volume up loud, before breaking into a dance.
As people looked on in amusement, he was joined by other 'mobbers' in staggered intervals, until over 200 were dancing a set routine to Ben Lee's 'Catch My Disease'.
The event ended the same way as it began with the man in red Speedos dancing by himself while everyone sat back down as if nothing had happened.
It was performed as part of a promotion for the launch of the Flip MinoHD video camera.
The campaign is reminiscent of T-Mobile's 'Life's for Sharing' campaign performed at Liverpool Street Station earlier this year.
