Five's marketing director quits

LONDON - Five's marketing director, Jane Scott, has resigned with no job to go to saying she wanted to "take some planned time out" before considering new opportunities.

Five's marketing director quits

Scott tendered her resignation several weeks ago but agreed to stay on while succession plans for marketing services, creative services, and insight and research teams were concluded.

Five’s digital portfolio was launched under her leadership, and she was responsible for both the launch campaigns at Five Life and Five US. She also re-launched Five’s on-air look and most recently led the marketing team’s preparations for the revamp of the Five brands in 2008.

Scott was appointed in June 2005 and was a member of the channel’s executive board. She joined from the BBC, where she was controller, TV marketing, and prior to that was joint acting head of marketing since October 2004.

No potential successors have been announced yet, and Scott is said to be looking forward to her break.
