Luna Nuova

If you want to push the boat out a little, you could try Italian restaurant and bar Luna Nuova. The menu features homemade pastas, cicchetti – side dishes or snacks typical of the city of Venice - and fish dishes, including: deep-friend courgettes in homemade tartar sauce, seafood spaghetti and risotto with asparagus and prawns. The intimate little restaurant creates new specials each week and also has a function room available for hire.

Don Marco

Located near the Hilton Hotel on Deansgate in Manchester, Don Marco aims to recreate the atmosphere of neighbourhood brasseries in bustling cities such as Milan and New York.

Headed up by Don Marco himself, the menu features traditional pasta dishes such as filled ravioli and tagliatelle with king prawns, garlic and cherry tomatoes. Pan roasted halibut and chargrilled swordfish feature on the fish menu, while pizzas and meat dishes are also available.

Situated in the restaurant quarter of South Croydon for more than 20 years, Bagatti’s offers an extensive menu with something for everyone. Options include mussels cooked in white wine, tomato sauce, garlic and chilli, Parma ham with buffalo mozzarella and rocket and seafood risotto, to Fettucine alla Bolognese, filled with ravioli and pizza. The dessert menu features chocolate mousse cake, lemon sorbet and carrot and ginger cake with mascarpone and crushed walnuts.

Q Verde

Family owned and operated cucina Q Verde can cater for a business lunch, intimate dinner or party for up to 40 people. The menu includes antipasti options such as pan-fried chicken liver with rosemary on a bed of crostino, and smoked beef with Parmesan shavings, rocket, lemon and olive oil.

Traditional pasta dishes such as tagliolini with mushrooms and cream, and mixed seafood tagliatatelle, are available for those that seek a heartier meal, alongside meat and fish options. The dessert menu features panna cotta, gelati misti and tiramisu.

Tortellini Cup

If you’re looking for something a little bit more casual then you could try highly-rated food kiosk Tortellini Cup. It offers a variety of options, from filled tortellini, gramigna in a sausage, cream and Parmesan sauce, Tigelle – a filled disc shaped bread to vanilla custard balls for dessert.
