Five News takes on new look

LONDON - Five has unveiled a raft of changes to its on-air look for the relaunch of Five News tonight.

Five News, which is being produced by Sky News, will feature a new programme logo, graphics, titles and music.

In addition, a new studio will feature new LED lighting units and an illuminated Five News icon in the foreground.

Former BBC journalist Natasha Kaplinsky, who was unveiled as the new face of Five News last October, will present two half-hour main bulletins at 5pm and 7pm.

The relaunch comes after Five News was nominated as News Programme of the Year by the Royal Television Society.
