Forman’s Fish Riviera will be a three-storey temporary structure with 30 private hospitality suites. Balcony space overlooking the Olympic Stadium will feature palm trees, a beach volleyball court and a nightclub. The Admirable Crichton is providing catering for the venue.
Speaking to Event today, managing director Lance Forman said it's taken a long time to decide on the right kind of venue to create. "The Olympics is not a normal sporting event; it's a once in a lifetime occurance and we've got to get it right. From the Riviera, clients will be able to hear every announcement from the Olympic Stadium word for word. We think the athletes will want to come over and party with us in the evenings."
Forman said he already has six companies negotiating exclusive hospitality space at the Riviera, and is looking for a sponsor for the beach vollyball court.
The suites start at £75,000 for the 17-day Olympic period, and can be fully branded to meet clients’ specifications.
Luxury Sunseeker yachts will be moored on the riverbank outside the venue and will be available for hire during the Games.
In February, Forman's was to build a venue designed as a giant living room because it contravened the International Olympic Committee (IOC)'s branding restrictions. Plans included a sofa the height of a four-story building as well as a 30m by 17m TV screen.
