The second annual event from Meeting Professionals International, held at the University of Greenwich, promises to connect those looking for their first job in events with potential employers.

Candidates who register via the MPI website will have the opportunity to meet a number of agencies and find out more about the industry during one-on-one meetings and an informal networking session.

In turn, agencies will have access to a pool of jobseekers and will receive their CVs ahead of the event.

Alongside the more informal agenda, there will also be panels and interviews with industry figures. Rick Stainton, managing director of Smyle, will join Zibrant's Helen McCabe and Caitlin Kobrak of George P. Johnson to discuss the opportunities and demands of the industry.

Other agencies signed up include Zibrant, TFI, Grass Roots Group and AMEX Meetings and Events.

Jackie Mulligan, VP education for MPI UK, said: "We are delighted to once again be supporting our industry to connect with talent. Employers from hotel chains, venues, tech companies as well as event organisations are very welcome to get involved."
