The group also plans to shake up its continental Europe financial and reports operations, which will now focus on driving sales across key markets, with Christoph Gerth to fill the newly created position of head of operations in continental Europe.
A new UK client planning team has been created by combining the existing client sales teams with the strategic planning team. This unit will be tasked with improving the FT's relationship with creative and planning agencies.
The restructure will also generate: two agency sales teams, headed by Zara White and Danny Aldred; one EMEA-focused online sales division, managed by Stuart Adam; and a newly created client planning team, to be run by Shane Cunningham.
Robert Grange has been appointed to the FT's UK-based financial advertising sales team, where he will be responsible for creating business in its corporate finance, banking and professional services.
Dominic Good, advertising director for the FT EMEA, said integrating its client, agency and online operations into a single division would "make for a more efficient and comprehensive service".
He said: "The new team will meet the needs of the client, strategic planning and creative agencies, and digital and traditional buying teams."
