Hosted by Event magazine editor Jeremy King, the competition is sponsored by Sternberg Clarke, which is giving the winning act a £1,000 cash prize and a contract with the leading entertainment agency.
Battling it out on the night will be six acts all hoping for a place in the final of the competition, which is taking place at Event UK at The NEC from 22-23 September.
Each act will perform in front of a live audience and four industry judges that will include Sternberg Clarke owner Adam Sternberg and Eventia CEO Izania Downie.
Event UK group marketing director Kate Disley said: " as part of the ISES AGM, saw an eclectic mix of acts battling it out to woo the discerning crowd and our noted judges. Partnering with key industry associations and their summer events was a natural progression for us, because the competition is aimed at encouraging talent into the industry and offering event organisers added inspiration."
