The 2008 campaign, which takes place from March 14-16, encourages young people across the UK to be sponsored to go without something that is important to them for one day.
The funds raised will be used to help make a difference to street children in Chennai, India, who live in danger of abuse and exploitation and go without many of life's basic needs such as clean safe water, shelter or regular nutritious meals.
World Vision works with community organisations in Chennai to help improve the lives of thousands of street and working children in the city by providing them with safe places to live. It also runs initiatives such as children's clubs, education and workshops, counselling and rehabilitation programmes.
Cotton, a former 'Top of the Pops' and 'The Saturday Show' presenter who now presents the BBC Radio 1 Chart Show, said: "I've been sponsoring a child through World Vision for the last few years and know what an important and vital job they do. We're asking you to help us get kids in Chennai, India off the streets and instead give them the opportunity of a better, safer life and future."
