How did you get into fashion?

After art school, I worked as a freelance textile designer for retailers. I developed an interest in how design feeds through what is happening in the world around us.

The big trends in fashion design?

Fashion isn't reliant on trends - they come from community and culture. People are becoming more averse to taking risks, but creativity comes from the world's insecurities.

Design is evolving through individual thinking, reflection and real experience. Designers have always looked to the arts and media to gain inspiration and build ideas. Currently, there is a backlash against social media and the need for constant connectivity.
