London Collections: Men will celebrate the impact of British talent in menswear with a series of shows, presentations and exhibitions.
Spearheaded by Dylan Jones, editor of GQ, the three-day showcase will launch with a reception at St James's Palace on 14 June hosted by HRH The Prince of Wales.
Harold Tillman CBE, chair of the British Fashion Council, said: "It is a great honour to have the support of HRH the Prince of Wales to launch London Collections: Men and champion British menswear and culture."
The Hospital Club will be used as the central hub for the event, becoming to menswear what Somerset House is to women’s wear.
Sue Walter, chief executive of The Hospital Club, said: "The Hospital Club prides itself on being the essential hub for London’s creative industries, and I’m thrilled that we are hosting this exciting new event in 2012. I believe London Collections will entertain, inspire and stimulate our members and the wider community, and endorse the club’s position as London’s most dynamic space for creative collaboration."
Designers Margaret Howell and Paul Smith and heritage brands Aquascutum and Savile Row tailors have already signed up to take part.
