FA girl Alam signs £500,000 deal to sell Sven affair story

LONDON - Faria Alam has signed a £500,000 deal with PR guru Max Clifford to sell details of her affair with Sven-Goran Eriksson to two Sunday tabloids and a TV company.

Alam will reveal sordid details of her affair with the England coach and former FA chief executive, Mark Palios, as well as discussing other high-profile relationships at the FA headquarters where she worked as a secretary.

The story echoes that of David Beckham's former PA, Rebecca Loos, whom Clifford managed to secure similar big cash deals for. Loos also did an exclusive on Sky One and appeared on Channel 4's 'Richard & Judy'. Alam could be looking to repeat the trick.

It is believed the two tabloid stories could be worth £200,000 each and the television interview, rumoured to be with ITN's Sir Trevor McDonald, could earn her an extra £100,000.

With magazine interviews and TV rights bought from football-obsessed countries around the world, including Asia and Eriksson's native Sweden, Alam could be close to raking in £1m.

According to Clifford, said: "Faria Alam has asked me to represent her and I have agreed. She is very angry with the FA and has a lot to say. It is dynamite."

Alam's move comes at a sensitive time for all parties involved, as the FA board meets today to discuss the futures of Eriksson, Alam and chairman Geoff Thompson.

Palios quit at the weekend in the middle of the allegations and PR consultant Colin Gibson's resignation has also been accepted by the FA in private.
