
The new company will specialise in conferences, awards ceremonies, launches and exhibitions with staff working remotely and on a freelance basis to keep costs down for clients.
Thompson said: "With the UK falling even deeper into recession, we’re seeing budgets shrinking or even frozen, whilst expectations are ever increasing. We need to find ways of squeezing even more value out of every single pound. We’ve examined the market, developments in communications and technology and with no historical baggage we are in a position where we can do something very special."
He added they have set themselves "modest targets" for the first 12 months in business, but they are already ahead of plan. "We’ve secured several key projects that will be delivered in the final quarter of 2012 and we’ll be looking to recruit in early 2013," he said.
As well as working together at Glasgows, the pair had previously worked together for five years at Comtec Presentations.
