Worried about how to land a decent job when you graduate? Think you could beat your contemporaries in proving you have what it takes to be the perfect event organiser at one of the country’s most prestigious venues?
Well, thanks to ESP Recruitment in association with Excel London, UBM Live, Brand Events, Imagination, Bluehat and Event, this could come true if you take part in The Eventice.
The Eventice, which aims to find the best event management graduate in the country, is open to any final year student currently studying for an event management degree.
Successful applicants to The Eventice will be tested on their knowledge of the industry, their ability to cope under pressure and, most importantly, their ability to organise an event.
The Apprentice-style competition for the event industry has secured a profile-raising move to International Confex from 1-3 March 2011 in Earls Court, which means the deadline has been extended until Friday 14 January.
Initially the competition was due to start at Taste of Christmas at the beginning of December, but after much deliberation it has been decided to that all the challenges will now take place during the three days of International Confex (1-3 March).
The competition, which is being organised by ESP Recruitment and supported by Event magazine, Brand Events, Excel London, UBM Live, Imagination and Bluehat, will see the lucky contestants taking part in a number of challenges during the length of International Confex with the winner landing a job at Excel London.
Those selected to take part in the competition will be split into groups and given a brief to create an event. They will then be asked to come to London from 1-3 March to present their ideas and take part in a number of challenging event management tasks, which will be marked by a team of industry experts over the entire three days.
To stand a chance of taking part in The Eventice all you have to do is send us a copy of your CV including name and contact details, a profile picture and a two-minute video telling us why you want to work in the event industry; what you can bring to Excel London; and why should the judges choose you.
Event will be hosting the videos and cvs and providing regular updates on The Eventice.
