
I wanted to get into the events industry because I felt it was time to launch an international fashion exhibition focusing on premium designer brands and accessories. The event will sit alongside similar established shows in New York, Milan, Paris and Tokyo.

Not many people know that I ran Quorum and our designers included Ossie Clark,Alice Pollack, Celia Birtwell, Betty Jackson, Terence Nolder, Sheridan Barnett.
My worst experience at an event was a collection being stolen in New York.
If there is one thing I have learnt it’s never stand still.
If I could do all over again I would not have changed a thing.
The one thing I can’t stand is crooked hemlines.
Outside work I spend my time with Orlando my dog.
If money were no object I would breed King Charles Spaniels.
The one event I would never miss is the Chelsea Flower Show.
The recession has encouraged exhibitors to look for new markets and buyers to source more interesting brands in the current more frugal budget-contrained economic climate.
The next 12 months will be challenging.
If I could switch with anyone else in the industry it would be Elsa Shapiarelli because of her unwavering commitment to fashion, her innovation and ability to pioneer.
If I ruled the industry I would make it law for emerging fashion talent to be provided with free advice, venues and platforms for their work. It is vital for the industry to nurture creativity and bring it to the right audience.
