I have worked here since December 2009.
I was attracted to this particular role because I had nothing better to do.
Not many people know that I once worked as a DJ in Denmark and presented their version of Top of the Pops.
My worst experience at an event was running through a crowd of people during the Ryder Cup to congratulate one of the players who I knew personally, when I got to him he failed to recognise me.
If there's one thing I've learnt it's never run through a crowd of people to get to a famous sportsman.
The best event I've been involved in was in the past whilst at Arena, supplying a 10,000 seater temporary venue whilst Wembley was being refurbished. More recently, The British Grand Prix. We supply lots of services to Silverstone and it is such an amazing event.
If I could do it all over again I would do it all over again!
The one thing I can't stand is famous sportsman that can’t remember me after knowing them for eight years! And, a commodity approach to purchasing, too many people buy on price and not on value for money.
Outside of work I race my Caterham R300 race car, I’m not very good but it is great fun. I also play golf and watch my beloved Chelsea.
If money were no object I would do exactly what I am doing now.
The one event I will never miss is my own funeral.
The recession has meant that there is opportunity for companies to show how they can make a difference.
The next 12 months will be about 365 days.
If I could switch places with anyone else in the industry Richard Phillips, MD of Silverstone circuits. I would love to be on the inside looking out and would like Richard to see how hard we work helping make the event a success (although I’m sure he knows that already).
If I ruled the event industry I would immediately make it a dictatorship.
