Event TV: TransferWise targets Paris with 'Spiderman' stunt

TransferWise, along with retained agency House of Experience, executed another eye-catching protest yesterday (23 September), with the help of a French 'Spiderman'.

Following July’s , the money transfer platform headed to Paris to call out French banks for their lack of transparency.

The brand enlisted extreme free climber Alain Robert to climb the 185-metre tall GDF Suez tower in Paris’ financial district. The Spiderman began the ascent at 11.50am and reached the top of Paris’ fifth tallest building in less than an hour.

Once at 20 metres, Robert revealed a banner that read Rien à cacher  - 'nothing to hide'. The guerrilla activity was in reference to hidden foreign exchange fees.

Hundreds of spectators gathered below the building to watch Robert undertake the task.

Daniel Sauva, head of creative at TransferWise, said: "We are committed to spreading the TransferWise revolution across Europe through our bold and disruptive stunts. We are convinced House of Experience can help us to take our message of transparency and fairness global."
