The #MakeChristmas experience saw a number of Christmas experts offer live demonstrations and take questions from members of the public in a branded festive booth from 10am until 5pm. Interior designer Linda Barker gave advice on styling the home, wrapping expert Arona Khan showed how to create the perfect gift presentation, Great British Bake Off 2012 champion John Whaite cooked up a number of Christmas treats and Tesco’s wine expert Laura Jewell selected the best low-cost wines for the season.

Tweets from members of the public appeared on a giant screen behind the presenters. On the same day, sampling events took place at Glasgow Central and Manchester Piccadilly stations, where Twitter displays were also erected.

The event formed part of Tesco’s Every Little Helps Make Christmas campaign, which aims to respond to the nation’s needs in the run up to 25 December with fun and helpful initiatives. The supermarket giant worked with Spaceandpeople to secure the space in the stations.

Sharry Cramond, proposition and brand director at Tesco, said: "Christmas is a wonderful time of year, but we all know that it comes with some challenges. Our research shows that customers want a helping hand, whether that’s wrapping gifts or finding a delicious wine for Christmas day.

"Our experts at this week’s live event shared fantastic insider tips on how to have a really amazing Christmas, with less of the stress."
