Event TV: Guinness World Records experience comes to Westfield

The world's tallest man, heaviest twins and longest dinosaur will be appearing virtually at Westfield Stratford City today (1 November) for Guinness World Record's first augmented reality event.

Augmented reality specialist Appshaker has created an immersive video that allows shoppers to see themselves on a big screen alongside the world’s heaviest twins who are professional wrestlers with a combined weight of 104 stone.

They can also be chased by the world’s largest predatory fish - a 16 metre long Great White shark – and interact with the show’s virtual host, the world’s tallest man who stands at nearly 2.5 metres tall.

The interactive video experience runs from 1-4 November and uses some of the mobile augmented reality features which have been built into pages of the new Guinness World Records 2013 book.

Consumers will be able to share images and video content of themselves interacting with the books characters via social media.

Watch our video to see what happened when the show took place in a New York shopping centre from 24 - 27 October.
