Background
Stainton set up Smyle in 2004, winning the Corporate Event Association’s Best New Company accolade in its first year. He is the co-founder of the Sustainable Events Summit and an Eventia board member, and has spoken at numerous industry events, including in front of event management degree students at Westminster University.
Achievements in 2013
During the agency’s tenth year, Stainton and his team won the Production Agency of the Year gong at the Event Awards. The company also generated a turnover of £8.6m last year and organised 250 events. Stainton’s highlight was hosting the first Sustainable Events Summit, which was named Most Sustainable Event at the C&IT Awards 2013.
