Event 100 Club 2013 opens for entries

Event's annual list of the 100 most influential people in the industry is back, and we want to hear from the best of the best.

The Event 100 Club is the definitive list of the most important individuals from all areas of the industry, including agencies, venues, suppliers, associations and brands, as well as freelancers.

Danny Boyle took the number one spot last year, following his work and vision for the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony as artistic director. The 2012 top ten also featured John Probyn of Live Nation; Media10's managing director Lee Newton; Kevin Jackson, vice president of business development for George P Johnson; and Excel London's Kevin Murphy.

Last year's list sparked debate as to whether it was an accurate representation of the number of influential women in the industry. Only 20% of the Event 100 Club 2012 represented women. Zanine Adams, head of events solutions and UK sales at London & Partners, was the only female professional to rank in the top ten.

This formed the basis of Event's , which aims to change behaviour by encouraging women to raise their profiles and be more confident in talking about their acheivements. Since May, Event has been inspiring women to shout louder and become better role models, and we hope to see a greater number of women nominated for the Event 100 Club 2013.

Once all the entries have been collected for this year's 100 Club, Event readers will be able to vote online for their favourites, dictating the order of the list. The results will be published in The Guide 2014.
